Cooking with Emily

Cooking is not something that ever came naturally to me. Although my mom cooked most of our dinners growing up, I was never really taught how to cook. I claim to be a self-made pretend chef. I enjoy cooking; it’s therapeutic for me. Learning to cook has taken years of practice. I know myself and if a recipe has more than five ingredients, I am probably not going to make it. I rarely measure, I taste.

I believe cooking is undervalued. I find people don’t cook because they were not given the guidance growing up; therefore, grocery shopping and the kitchen brings anxiety. I can completely relate. I want you to feel confident in the kitchen. It all starts with the basics and experimentation. One ingredient at a time, one meal at a time. I am no chef, but I do know what good, quality food tastes like.

What's included in the PRIVATE class?

  • I, Emily, will come to YOU and bring the food!!  I can come to your home or business (assuming you have a clean kitchen work-space) and cook for/with you! After purchasing, we will work out a date and time that works for you. 

  • Learn which foods should take top priority in your diet and how to include them in recipes easily.

  • 1 Meal Preparation: This is a dish that will work well with multiple palettes (different meats or even vegetarian options). No one enjoys eating the same thing day in and day out. Variety is the key to any nutrition plan!

  • 1 Vegetable Side: Eating vegetables doesn’t have to plain and boring. The largest portion of our plate should be our vegetables. It’s that time to experiment!

  • 1 Sweet Tooth Option: You can enjoy sweets without any addictive refined sugars, I will show you how.
