Why I Became a Postpartum Doula

We had our baby girl on December 11th, 2021, and my whole world changed. The funny thing is, I grew up with no maternal instinct. When I turned thirty-eight years old, suddenly, a light bulb went off, and I knew I wanted a family.

I had a wonderful pregnancy and focused most of my energy on having a natural birth experience. My birth didn't go as planned, but I delivered a healthy baby girl. I remember my husband and I putting Isabella in our car for the drive home, and my husband and I both looked at each other like, "What do we do now."

Looking back, I was unprepared for postpartum life; I wish I had spent just as much, if not more, creating a postpartum plan for my partner and myself. It's critical to have the resources to build your village. I struggled through supply issues, a tongue-tie revision, running two other businesses, and trying to be entirely present for our child. I was blessed to have an amazing husband and family to help, but even with all the help I was fortunate to have, I still needed that person to hold my hand through the process to help me heal.

As an Integrative Health Specialist and dedicated Postpartum Doula, I passionately support new mothers on their transformative journey into motherhood. With a profound understanding of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of postpartum well-being, I am here to provide unwavering guidance, nurturing care, and a holistic approach to postpartum health.

With my background, I have honed my skills and knowledge to empower women during the postpartum period. My personal journey ignited my desire to provide comprehensive support to new mothers and their families.
